Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Superb beach with golden sands and magnificent views from the Chapel of Senhora da Rocha. Family friendly with a fantastic beach restaurant and bar with very friendly staff and fantastic fresh food! Highly recommended when visiting the Algarve.

We stayed for a week in an apartment in T2 near the Redonda Beach entrance. There are some nice bars and restaurants all within walking distance. It's very quiet even in peak season. You can get a road train in to Armacao de pera or a taxi to Albufeira. Taxi return to Albufeira is approx 50e.
Slide and Splash is worth a trip. Taxi from Senhora da Rocha is approx 40e return. Avoid booking the local transfer Diego. We booked him where we bought the tickets from the shop Martins. He wanted to charge is 45e and never bothered turning up. We ended up using the mytaxi app FreeNow and they were reliable and cheaper. Sent Diego a text to say we couldn't wait for him any longer and got a miserable 'sorry' hours later. Very unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.
The sea is amazing. Water can be cold when you first get in. Persevere and its worth it.
Great relaxing place to holiday

Beautiful beach surrounded by spectacular cliffs, it's a classic Algarve setting, quite stunning...big waves when I was there, be careful when you go swimming here (but the water is ice cold anyways!)

two sided beach - splitted by rocks - on one side there is a nice beach restaurant but smaller beach - the other side more calm and yearly the authorities make the beautiful sandy beach bigger
- one side can be reached by a iron staircase the other side by all means even by car (little parking space)

Great little beach below the Pestana Viking Hotel. Has a restaurant/beach bar too, and lovely, clean sand

There are two beaches either side of the promontory on which Senhora Da Rochas church stands. On the Eastern side us the smaller of the two, which is also the one packed with sunbeds and various watersports for hire. On the Western side is one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere and certainly a perfect location for swimming and sunbathing. The beach shelves quite steeply into the sea so not suitable for thise with young children, but perfect for anyone wanting to swim in deeper water.

We went in August on a public holiday, but the beach was busy rather than crowded. There is a very steep set of stairs down to and up from the beach but there are a couple of resting spots part-way up/down.

There is a car park right on the cliff-top but you either have to get there very early/late or be extremely lucky to grab a parking spot. There is plenty of parking further back from the cliff, near the turning from the main road into the town. From there it is about a 10 min walk to the clifftop.

Went in the off season. Lots of stairs to go down before hitting the beach. We were told there was a door that leads to the next beach. We walked the whole beach which is not that big. We found an opening in the wall and wondered if that was the doorway. You have to be fit to climb up to the doorway. It turned out to be a long tunnel that takes you into the next beach, which is much larger. There are lots of sea shells and openings where animals could dwell. If it is a nice day, try to get around the rocks when the tide is out and you can walk up to Porches, about 15 minutes. It takes you back around to where you started.

The most beautiful magical beach, we visited in march so it was really quiet so we had it to ourselves most of the time. We loved going through the hole in the cliff to enter another beach the restaurant on the beach was also very delicious I would definitely recommend

A lovely gem, interesting and beautiful beaches that you can gain access to through the ‘hole in the wall’.
Lovely cafe at the entrance to the beach.
