Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beach is part of the vendacari reserve. When we visited in September we followed the signs from the main road. It is a dirt track / unmade up road to a car park that charged 3 euro. You then walk back to the entrance of the reserve where they were taking temperature checks, and recording visitor details for track and trace. Entry to the reserve was then another 3 or 3.5 euros( can’t quite remember!) per person. There is a family ticket but this is just for immediate family (eg 2 adults with children) it can’t be used for siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles etc (there was a long argument going on about this in Italian!)
You then walk into the reserve to the beach. It’s a good 20 mins when you are carrying all your beach stuff and in the heat (no shade) so come prepared. Eventually you get to steps down to the beach. The beach is a cove and very pretty, although being a nature reserve the sand had quite a bit of natural debris (pieces of wood etc) so don’t expect immaculate groomed sand. There are no facilities (as you would expect) so you need to bring EVERYTHING with you. It was very windy the day we went, not sure if that is normal so it made it hard to keep an umbrella up and there were waves in the sea- but still very nice for a swim. We didn’t explore other beaches on the reserve but good for at least one visit. However I think there were overall nicer beaches in the area.

Great day at the beach at Spiaggia Calamosche. Parking costs €5, and with a bit of luck you can also borrow an umbrella from the park attendants (€5). Entry costs €3.50 per person and entitles you to visit the nature reserve. Access is limited to 550 people, come early in the high season. Pay at the gate by card only. 15' walk to the beach. There are no toilets or other facilities on the beach (take food and drink with you or buy something in the restaurant in front of the gate). The beach itself is sandy, the water is very clear and the first 100 m is shallow, great for swimming. Warning: no umbrellas and almost no natural shade!!! No pets, ball games, etc. are allowed on the beach. It's definitely worth a visit!

path of 15-20minutes at a brisk pace to get to the beach. abundant parking at the price of 5 euros (per car) + a small caprese sandwich for free. to enter you have to pay another 3.5 euros per head and the maximum occupancy is 550 people, so better arrive on time. shame the impossibility to bring numerous leisure items such as balloon, rackets, bowls, etc. (even tables).
crystal clear water.

After having traveled by car along a subspecies of mule track which is quite broken down and very narrow, you arrive at the entrance to the park where the ticket office is and only then do you learn that access is limited to 550 people, so you risk not getting in. Once you enter, no sign warns you of the distance to travel, only a generic "twenty minutes" said by the ticket agent. During the route almost entirely under the sun, you don't find a sign indicating a kind of mileage, among other things useful if someone gets injured or feels ill, to help you find them. You finally reach the stairs that take you to the cove, you find a box containing a defibrillator, first aid kit and stretcher (locked with a padlock), you go down to the beach and find it dirty, and the stretches of cliff famous for their numerous caves, fenced and therefore not visitable. Maximum disappointment

A beach where you can avoid the crowds of people who invade the beaches in July and August. The walk to get to the beach is long and under the sun, but it is flat and totally feasible in slippers if you are an adult with umbrella and cooler. It is worth it, because the beach is very beautiful. I recommend bringing water and food if you want to stay the day.
To pay: car parking which also includes showers and toilets + 3.50 euros per person for admission.

It’s a bit of a drive along a dirt track to get to the car park. You’re charged €3 for parking. It’s then a 20 min walk to the beach (€3.50 to pay to get into the nature reserve).
It’s certainly very pretty when you get to the beach though. The water is warm and crystal clear. There’s no shade or facilities at the beach so take everything you need with you

Simply one of the best beaches I've ever visited (and I'm one who has toured several). We have ample parking at the entrance and entrance to the Vendicari reserve is charged. In the parking lot we have bar and restaurant, showers with bathrooms available to those arriving from the sea To reach the Calamosche bay you need a walking path, under the sun, of at least 15-20 minutes; in the beach we do not have any stall for tourists, we are inside a protected area, so we need first of all water and everything we would like to have available, but it is absolutely worth the effort: fantastic water, beach with easy access to the water even for my lady (little lover of rocky bottoms) but on both sides of the bay all the rocks we want (the nephew hunts for interesting seabed) with a beautiful view. In the bay it is forbidden to use balloons and other objects that are listed at the entrance but also in this respect I must say that the staff at the entrance did everything possible calmly and competently to justify this choice with some tourists who had to leave the balloon at the entrance.

Very beautiful and suggestive beach!
There was a bit of algae but it's part of the natural context! Walk of approx. 20 minutes to reach it but it's worth it!! You pay 3.50 euros per person or 7 euros per family with children. Entry limited to 550 people!!

Calamosche Beach is accessible only through the entrance (maximum quota of 550 people) to the naturalistic area. Since this is a protected area, obviously there are limitations such as the ban on using balls and beach toys. The ticket can only be purchased by credit card and costs €7.00 per family (in proportion to single entries). The park entrance can be reached by car traveling for about 2 km on a somewhat bumpy dirt road, at the end there is an unshaded parking area for a fee (5.00). There are no refreshment areas of any kind except for a fruit kiosk from a local producer.
Once you enter the reserve, walk for about twenty minutes on a sunny and sandy path to reach the actual beach. It is an inlet with a beautiful clear sea. The beach is spacious and well maintained. There are no accompanying services (no shower, no toilet, etc.). Overall, although the place is beautiful and the sea water is clear, I personally cannot say whether all the "effort" to reach it is really worth it. Honestly, I wouldn't go back, but that's a strictly personal opinion.

I go there very often as it is about half an hour's drive from my house. Beautiful yes, but extremely overrated. It has its own charm, we agree, but we are not even talking about some oasis or earthly paradise as many say... it is a beach like many others. Furthermore, it's a real lottery... you never know what condition you might find it in. One day the water is crystal clear, the next it is cloudy and full of deposits of dead algae. If you want to go I recommend always checking the conditions of the beach through Instagram by viewing the stories from the previous day in which the place is tagged (to make sure if it's worth going there)

Ho 2 cani di piccola taglia con me.. è possibile portarli o è vietato?
Written 25 June 2020
