La Timpa of Acireale is currently a place for those looking for some time with his/her own thoughts/meditation. Only a few locals know places to get there and what exactly to see/do there, a tourist will never find the way. Amazing views from the top.

Difficult to access, no signage on poorly maintained trails, huge potential but this unique natural area is unexploited and essentially unknown to visitors

This place has some amazing views of the ocean and interesting flora, but we found it very hard to access, paths are not secure and it is impossible to walk at the water front as lava stones are large and inaccessible partly. We've been to much nicer places on our trip so far!

I walked around in the area, but there are so many places on Sicily with much more beautiful nature.

The reserve was unkept and nothing more than a trackway to gain access to the beach. The views during our long walk were spectacular and the little village at the bottom delightful and far off the tourist map.
