The garden is full of a variety of plants and flowers. The garden art is fascinating as well. Very peaceful walk in a garden.

This is instead a modernist series of... More

Visited here during the summer. We were staying in Achill Sound. We arrived at the gate, drove down the driveway and arrived at a cottage. There were no signs telling us where to go, no one came out to meet us and frankly we felt like we were trespassing. We knew the entrance fee was 8.00 each and didn't fancy... More

a series of sheltered bowers, beds of plants, sculptures and trees. Beautiful to behold, arranged in thought provoking settings. We especially admired the "wattle" enclosures.

On a sunny day in June !! We decided to cycle from Mulranny to Achill on the greenway!! Great fun it turned out to be. We also decided to cycle a little further to visit the Dutch run garden called the Secret Garden. Well all I can say is what a lovely afternoon. A smallish (3 acres) beautifully developed over... We stayed here in the garden chalet in August, and I warmly recommend it to anyone visiting Achill. Doutsje and Willem are kind and welcoming hosts, and they clearly have a deep respect and love for their adopted home. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very generous (take some of Doutsje's delicious bread with you for a picnic... More

Visited here with my fiancé in July. The garden is located just by the Bay and is very easy to find if you know where to look! After a brief introduction and history of the gardens by the lady owner we were given our map and headed off! I think what makes this place so special is that on one... More
