Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely monastery in Blaubeuren. It’s so peaceful and calm. Discovered it by chance and absolutely loved it. It’s close to blautopf and would recommend this to anyone visiting blautopf.

We came to have a look at this convent while in the town. The history was unfortunately all written in German, although not really a problem. Of particular interest was the high altar which was quite magnificent. Some of the ceiling paintings were impressive.

I am a historian so I loved this place. Very impressive altar piece and interesting local history museum in a former bathhouse. Nice little shop. We walked in the woods up to the view point. Still early in the year so not a green as it will be. The blue pond is quite unique. An easy drive from Ulm and certainly off the international tourist track.

Blaubeuren is a very lovely medieval city named by the river Blau and the Blautopf which is a beauty if nature shimmering in blue and green.
The city itself looks like a cimplrte medieval museum not necessary to mention the crowds of tourist from mid if march till end of october.
Worth a travel during winter, too as there are possibilities for long walks just strolling through the forest and nature and to enjoy the abbey and its museum.
You will find nice restaurants with delicious meals and to recommand a bakery and soup kitchen opening daily and on saturdays with this special offer named “Vesperküche” from 11 am to 2 pm.
Painting workshops as offered!
Swimmingpools also possibile during winter (Hallensportbad also for families).

After visiting the blue pool and watermill went to the old monastery. Some beautiful ceilings and a unique reredos to be seen. No information in English but a leaflet available did help. You really need to see the pictures to appreciate the building

We went to Blaubeuren spontaneously. The monastery was very interesting. I particularly liked the high altar and the monastery garden
