Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Has an old vibe and some near shops and even a parade float and masks on display, some cools cafes, eateries, a grocery store, souvenir shops, clothing stores, a guesthouse, but half are shuttered and was very quiet on Monday late afternoon.

It is in the downtown and is within walking distance from Capaule Hotel CUBE Hiroshima where I stayed at. Like other covered shopping streets in Japan, there are many shops and restaurants to cater to your every need. It was a nice place for a leisurely stroll.

If you are on the way back from Senkoji park,I recommend walking through this shopping street, even if you don't want to buy anything. There are old buildings of mid 20th century, somewhat historical.I am Japanese but I've never seen such old shops remained like here .It wasn't fancy at all but it was attractive for me.

A great shopping street with an array of shopping options including eateries. Many thrift stores too but not worth the high prices.
Good for a shopping time especially the famous Hiroshima Carp baseball merchandise.

The Hondori Shopping Street in Hiroshima has some great places to visit, for anyone who grew up watching Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z or Yu-Gi-Oh try Hobby Station and Jump Store. There are loads of other shops from high end to bargains and plenty or restaurants too.

A great shopping street with a covered roadway. Plenty of unique shops and numerous restaurants. Definitely, the place to go at night in Hiroshima.

Loved that so many shops carried antique items and so reasonable. Ended up buying much more than intended so had to have them shipped home. Just try and refrain from too much shopping

a covered shopping streets with old shops and a few quirky new shops and cafes. Supposed to have cats roaming around, but went on a cold day, so didn't see any. Shops close very early though (around 5pm).

We followed the Temple Trail but dropped off only after an hour or so… was late at 4+ and need to rush back to check-in hotel. So we crossed the main road and enter into the Hondori..
It is a long shopping street that goes right through the centre of Onomichi (?). Franked by interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and other buildings at both sides, providing a true mix of both the new, old and the fusion. Plenty to tempt for those ‘starve’ of shopping. But as per most mid-tier cities not much serious shopping here, need to try the Hiroshima City Hondori .
Similar to other Arcades we been through it houses the usual But the tempo is definitely more layback compared to major cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya etc. But there’s what make it different, esp if you have all the time. For city dwellers like us this is refreshing! Note that some of the buildings are indeed old, and quite refurbished.
Once out of the main entrance the Stature of Fumiko Hayashi is just ahead. Another 3 mins walk and we reached the Onomichi sta and also the bus terminal.
Not to be missed if you dropped by 尾道.

This covered shopping street goes most of the way from the railway station to the ropeway, so it was great to walk along there and keep dry on a wet day. There are some good shops, cafes and restaurants along the way too.
