The Ashby canal is unspoilt, no locks so ideal for a couple of days out sailing - but beware, if you are in a narrowboat the silt in many areas is just ridiculous. We saw so many boats keeling over and having to push off...More

We always start our walk from hinckley and either head south to the Lilm Kiln for a swift pint or head north towards Sutton Cheeny. Either way there are some lovely views, wildlife and history to be seen. Highly recommended!

It's lovely to see the progress that's being made with the restoration of the canal. The place of the Measham Teapots loved so much by the working boatmen

A really nice canal - not long but quite picturesque, Lots of work to do to complete the task of total opening but its a really nice voyage. A bit shallow in places but definitely worth doing. (See report re Hire Company_

This a great canal to take a holiday. Its scenic, with good pubs and you can access the Warwickshire Ring. We hired through Ashby Boats at Stoke Golding and they are top guys with brilliant boats.
