Beautiful drive up to the visitors center through bushland. Lots of parking, there is a lookout with great views. Visitors center has lots of useful info for visitors and walkers alike. Nice cafe and the Dawson Falls Lodge looks like it would be a great place to stay. Walk to the waterfalls was 5 minutes each way and well worth... More

There is no sign at the entrance to indicate that parking might be at a premium (which it was) and we had driven up for coffee and brunch, 11kms because the sign on the main road indicated that the cafe at the Mountain Lodge was open (it wasn't). Mind you, we did do this on Easter Sunday! So unless you... More

This was a great spot to look at the Dawson Falls. They are beautiful. Also a chance to experience some of the walks in the area.

The person on duty was very helpful and answered our queries about the area and old trees. 4pm closing was a surprise for January.

We visited on New Year's Eve; the car park was full but the Center provides good info and is a great place to start your walk. No food is available here (nor litter bins: they want you to take everything with you). However, for what we paid (absolutely nothing, surprisingly), this is a good facility.

We decided that we wanted to visit the Dawson Falls. Whilst here we called in at the visitor centre and found the exhibits quite fascinating. Lots of information about the terrain and the walks available. We were fascinated by the Symes Hut exhibit. The falls were brilliant and there was a fairly easy walk to/from them.

We liked the Wilkies Pools loop track better than the Dawson's falls track. The Dawson's falls is not spectacular but do that if you're going there. (Viewing from the base is better than the lookout). Wilkies pools loop track starts from the carpark and is 1 hour 20 mins return. The section to the pools is via goblin forest and... More

I've been here a few times and the park is full of walks and trails however on this occasion I visited in the middle of winter after a cold icy winters blast and this was not ideal. It was stunning with snow all around it make the road up the mountain quite dangerous. There was an avalanche warning and many... More
