We took four generations of our family to visit Hollard Gardens. All were happily entertained for a couple of hours. The kids (4 and 9) happily pointed out interesting things they found ("this tree has a name!!!") and had a great time on the playground....More

Decided to try Holland gardens now owned by council. Nice setting and lovely meandering paths shows off the wide array of plants flowers and fauna. The centre was open unattended but offered free tea and coffee . Well done to the councils nice touch.

This is a large garden with trails leading to a variety of ecosystems. There a many colorful and mixed types of flowers as well as delightful children's play area. It is located on the road between Opunake and Eltham, near the road to Dawson Falls...More

Lovely peaceful walks round the gardens with information about how and why they were created. Free admission and help yourself to tea or coffee, much appreciated. Includes a play area for children.
