Was told this was a must see, as I was nearby at the relevant time I stopped to look. Couldn't hear and the figures I thought were poor. Don't go out of your way to see it.

The action is only at certain hours so I missed the glockenspiel and the action. The clock tower is in the main street / highway, so being there at a quiet time is problematic. Still the cafes and i Site are nearby, so it is not a wasted trip.

The details on the clock tower are fascinating and whenever I travel to Stratford that's the first thing I look out for

Skip this. It is not even quaint, just plain bad. You can't hear the music or words because of the trucks passing by and the animation is so basic that it hurts. People built more elaborate things 500 years ago.

Super cool clock has the Romeo and Juliet characters moving and talking at certain times. We went at the 10:00 am one but it doesn't run every hour it is only certain ones ( Sorry, I am unsure on the times.) Worth a visit and it only takes about 5 minutes.

The clock or Glockenspiel, has characters who come out on the hour and recite from Romeo and Juliet. It was attracting the tourists and their cameras and videos so is of local interest.

We happened to be there when it was showing the characters. I'm assuming it does it every hour on the hour. There is a recording that goes with each character and is based on a Shakespearean part.

This is the restored clocktower. The have used original clock faces. Everyday at 9:am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm Romeo and Juliet's figures opn windows with background commentary and at the end both of them appear in the balcony. Very well presented. Sho goes on for five minutes. Visited the place on 06 January 2017.

31/12/16: Ok, don't make a special trip to see this! Unfortunately having seen a few in Europe this is very mediocre but good on Stratford for this uniqueness. Could not hear what Romeo & Juliet were saying; very rude locals knew when the show would begin and drove up the street honking their car horns.

Just happened to be passing at 7pm when Romeo and Juliet popped out of the clock tower for a little show. Was cute to see and good timing as we just passed on the spur of the moment. A good thing for children to see.
