Fun time with friends. The drinks & food are reasonable and the ambience & vibe is really good.
The only issue was that there was just one person running the whole place and that delayed the service (although she was doing her best)

I’ve done a fair few escape rooms, and I did this one last week with my partner. Room set up and effects were brilliant. Definitely got the scare that was promised. However, when working out puzzles, if you didn’t figure it out quick enough, the room would just give you the answer and move you onto the next puzzle. My partner and I left with little sense of accomplishment and no explanation of how some of the puzzles were meant to be solved. Great concept but not a fan of being carried through and no real chance to succeed

It's ten pin bowling with music and lights and refreshments. Fun time if you enjoy bowling and good for all ages. But If bowling is not your thing then grab a drink and wait

We went to strike to try something different as we normally go to another company for escape rooms however this one seemed good budget wise… well you really get what you pay for. This was a terrible experience and a horrid waste of money. The clues do not make any sense and there is no sense of achievement… also no guidance to tell you if you are on the right track or not, especially after solving it there was nothing obvious showing that we had been successful.. the clues are so ambiguous and by the time we could even figure out the clue the time was up as nothing was clear so we left feeling rather deflated too, especially after spending that amount of money on it.
To add even when we lost we couldn’t tell as the staff didn't really advise us and weren’t really present at all. It felt rushed and we were pushed to one side at the start while waiting to be taken to the room while the staff just ran and walked passed us. We arrived 30 minutes later and didn’t get to go into the room untill 5:20 and we had booked a 5pm session. Also on the website the escape room says it’s an hour but we were only given 50 minutes: this is misleading as that 10 minutes may have made a difference.
Overall very disappointing, won’t be going there you are better saving your $ and going to a different place.

On entry to Strike Bowling I must say the service staff were very kind and friendly. We arrived for our 10PM booking about five minutes early. We were guided to the bar to wait for the other people in the escape room to finish. We ended up waiting until 10:30PM and entering the room after briefing at around 10:40 PM. Waiting 40 minutes for the booking was really disapointing. We saw the last group exit so we realised they must have taken a bit of extra time. But then our room time ended at 11:30 PM sharp.
The escape room itself had the spooky/ authentic vibes (with the exception of a modern master lock which held a key to one of the puzzles). However, every puzzle seemed to be on a timer. You only had few times to solve it before it would just continue to the next challenge - meaning you rarely got to experience success. At the end of the escape the time for each puzzle seemed to reduce and reduce. By the end when we lost the escape room we felt pretty disappointed in the whole experience.

I wasn't expecting much with the escape room here but love escape rooms and bought the Fun Pass so as it part of the deal chose this venue as it is one of our closer rooms. The host was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome straight away. They were quick to answer the help phone when needed which was only once luckily. The theme was excellent and well done and added to the overall atmosphere. The room is quite small so definitely better with only a couple or few people. Any more than 3 and it'd be too crowded and interfere with one of the puzzles.
It was probably one of the easier rooms we've completed but we've done a lot so know many of the things to look for. The puzzles were still fun and a challenge even with prior experience of other escape rooms.
Overall this exceeded my expectations and I had a great time. The puzzles were well thought out and flowed well. The only improvement might be providing a torch. The room was quite dark to create the right atmosphere which was fine but at times it was difficult to read some of the things we needed to.

All the staff were so helpful, the food also arrived on time. It was great. We all enjoyed at the club. Also loved the availability of range of board games. Thank you. Sorry don't have the staff names, but every one was real friendly and so helpful. Would go back any time

Room has great atmosphere and effects, but that's where the positives end.
Was an overall experience in confusion.
End goal is not clear, solutions for puzzles seem to lack logic for their clues.
Game moves itself along with little to no positive/negative feedback on good/bad puzzle attempts.
You're left wondering alternatively "what am i supposed to do next?" or "did i get that right?"
Little to no sense of accomplishment.
Staff lacked professionalism - twice tried to make use of the in-game phone for communication with no response.

The experience in the escape room at Glen Waverley was a little disappointing. The room itself is so small, which would be okay, except there are minimal puzzles to solve If you go, take 2 people with you! No more than 4.
The puzzles themselves are quite ambiguous and there are no obvious clues. The automated room doesn't let you sort out the puzzles, rather it is all run on a timer which gives you the next clue automatically, which limits your group in achieving the 'feeling of success' as you move onto the next puzzle. Our group didn't feel a sense of accomplishment as we have done in other escape rooms, even though we actually made it out in time!
The setting of the 'storm in the woods' leading to the escape room as also hindered by the bowling, which is right next to the room and I found it lessened the impact and vibe of the room as you walked in blindfolded, only to hear smashing bowling balls as you walked through the 'forest'.
It felt very much like a -get one group in, get the next in quickly- $$ money making facility, rather than a place that was actually really enjoyable.
Postitive: The music and sound/light effects in the room added to the intensity and we got a scare every now and then. So that was a bit of fun.
I would recommend a different escape room for a group wanting a real good time!!

I agree with the previous reviews that this Escape Room is a rather confusing one. The puzzles lacked a logical progression, clues were ambiguous and the room “moving you on” and giving you the next clue only added to the confusion . We were unsure if we actually solved the puzzle correctly, were close or just plain ran out of time. It left a sense of lack of accomplishment with little feedback at the end.
There is almost too much going on with the mechanjcs and sound so it just added to the disorientation. The loud music from the bowling before and after the room also didn’t help the ambience. Overall a very disappointing experience compared to other Escape Rooms we’ve done.

Is there parking there for 6pm til late on Saturday night? The shopping centre closes at 5pm but can you still park there after 5pm if you are going to Strike bowling?
