Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not worth the visit. Lots of people, loud music, no shade from coconut trees. At low tide you have to go very far into the sea (with incredibly hot water) to get waist- and chest-deep in cooler water. The beauty of Google Maps photos does not correspond to reality. The best beach in the region is Ponta do Mangue, about 200m south of the access next to the Hotel Grand Oca.

My favorite after Antunes beach! Crystal clear and warm waters, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. During low tide we could walk through the sea up to the area where boats were anchored .

Xareu is definitely the most beautiful beach I've been. Although it was winter, the water was crystal clear and had a wonderful blue color. We were staying at Maragogi beach and we hired a guy to take us there by buggy. He drove us to many amazing beaches but Xareu is by far the best! I highly recommend this buggy ride if you're going to Maragogi.

Beautiful place - I wish I had stayed on a hotel in this beach instead... If you take a jeep tour the car is able to drive you down the ocean when the tide is low. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to.

This is a spectaclar, but small beach that is just a coconut plantation on a beautiful part of the lagoon in front of the the coast line of the Municipality of Maragogi. Its wide and hard packed sand makes it ideal for walking and continues on south to the best beach of the region - Antunes. Xareu is directly to the south of the Grand Oca Resort (ex-Miramar).

Beautiful and charming sea, great for swimming and playing with the children, guide @gordopasseios took us to the beach, the only thing that catches my attention is the issue of jetskis among bathers, I think there should be greater control from the responsible bodies, thanks to know

We prefer to enter through Xaréu than Antunes, we pay R$20 for parking on the sand. The beach on the Xaréu side is quieter, there is little harassment from traders and practically the same beach as Antunes lol.

To spend the day at the beach, you have to prepare yourself with water and snacks. There are restaurants, not so close to the sea. For a swim and play it's wonderful.
