Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Better than the way of Moses! Much less busy, great for going with children. It's not as good for diving as Antunes, but it's quieter for spending time with the family. It has little structure, with few options, but the entre mares bar is wonderful, I recommend staying there.

The most beautiful beach north of Maragogi, capable of making Barra Grande, Antunes and Xaréu unimpressive places. Ponta de Mangue has coconut trees that extend towards the sea, guaranteeing beautiful photos, lots of shade and peace without so many people, more or less at the height of the Hotel Grand Oca, about 200 m to the south. Nearby there are bsres and restaurants with good food and drinks at good prices.

Beautiful and peaceful beach in Maragogi. One of the best in the region. We stayed at the excellent Entre Mares kiosk: friendly staff, good drinks and snacks, great food, good music and at the right time.

Wonderful beach with its warm and calm waters. Outside the crowds of Maragogi. We stayed at the Entre Mares kiosk, after the Oca hotel and the rockery. Excellent service and the best food on our trip to Maceió: an octopus moqueca, shrimp and fish with pirão, farofa and white rice, much higher quality than others in the capital and on other beaches. Great drinks.

This is the beach with one of the best ways to walk to the reefs and pools at low tide. But, protect your feet with sneakers of beach shoes. I enjoy snorkelling at some of the more hidden pools. This is the beach of the Gran Oca Resort. It has had a lot of erosion in front of the hotel, but that's what makes it easier to walk to the reef. On both sides the beaches are great for strolling at almost any time.

We stayed for a while at this nice beach during a buggy tour.
The place is nice for family (depending on tide level) but with just one option for food and beverage.
I recommend it for families with kids, including small ones, mine has 3y and the the other 14th.
Also if your are at Maragogi, try this tour (buggy tour), a type of off road at or through the beaches toward North, but at low tide time as everything related to it while there. Low Tide and no rain is a must in Maragogi while at or during the beaches related activities due to the reaf barrier that holds the wave during the low tide times almost everyday but for a few hours a day.

This beach is truly gorgeous, nature practically untouched, the water warm, crystal clear and very inviting. You can stay in it for hours and the day goes by without you even knowing... The waters are calm and you can have your way in the ocean, either snorkeling when the tide is at its lowest, or sailing, doing stand up on your surfboard, truly wonderful. Doesn't have lots of bars or restaurants around, but there are a few that have fresh water showers and bathrooms available. Really does compare to some of the beaches in Aruba and around the Caribbean in beauty. I recommend this beach to all whom are looking for peaceful lounging in the sun and in the water.

A gorgeous, caribbean like beach - possibly the most beautiful I've seen in Brazil (outside of Fernando de Noronha).
As most beaches in Maragogi area, finding it is not overly easy by car as there aren't any signs pointing to it (have to ask a local) - which is good in a way as it keeps the place unspoiled.

There are a couple of restaurants there, as well as nearby acommodation (I don't know if they serve meals).

Make sure you visit it on low tides (ideally below 0.5 - tides throughout the day can be checked at:
http://www.maragogionline.com.br/tabua-marco.htm) - a reef area can be reached by walking (long walk, but well worth it) with loads of colourful fishes. The place becomes an enormeuous pool (doesn't get deep unlesa you walk a lot) with turquoise water.
