Unique Tour, this tour is perfect for people for you that love to be in the nature, adventurers and explorers !
As is a Private Tour, you will decide the time to end the tour.
Terceira Island, as volcanic origin presenting their morphological diversity, but maintaining some common geological traits.
Its origin is associated with several volcanic eruptions, that occurred in the Alpine Orogeny; that remounts to the Tertiary Age to the present days, leaving an outstanding speleological heritage.
So, we wish to share these several beautiful caves not open to the public (no man hand).
The only 2 places that are open to public is Volcano Algar do Carvão and Christmas Cave. This places are only open in winter on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. In summer every day is open. They are also closed on expecial occasions as Christmas days or special date.

Very close to Praia de Vitória and not difficult at all to access by car, views are magnificent. Only thing to take into account is to avoid fog, so please go in a sunny day and not very late not very early

Our guide for our caving tour took us here to see the awesome view of this caldera and patchwork fields. The wind was so hard on the platform! Don’t wear a hat! Amazing views and shouldn’t be missed.

So my gf and I visited on an overcast day which others may not appreciate. I actually liked having the clouds in the sky for the texture/contrast without the photos washing our from sun streaks. Note that you should follow the road signs and not use Google maps to get here (we learned the hard way the Google maps was inaccurate). It is quite a zig zag climb up narrow roads to get there. Note there is a smaller lookout point in the backside of this lookout too you pass on your way back out.

The view from Serra do Cume is not to be missed. Even with some clouds its a spectacular view of Terceira. The day we were there is unusually windy and that made the visit even more fun.
