For those who don't like crowds of tourists. Many properties on sale and it looks like a small town that's dying a slow death. But very picturesque and appealing to those who have an eye for detail.

We were taken by surprise by this gorgeous old city straddling the top of an ancient mountain. Lovely cafes, restaurants, art and craft shops, wine and local food shops... Just beautiful.

Nice historical town in Grosetto, yet comparing to neighboring Sorano is a bit touristic. Still, surely worth a visit!

Pitigliano is a beautiful hill town. It is visited by tourists but by no means is it overrun with tour groups. Walk the streets, have coffee or lunch, or stay for 5 nights like we did. We loved everything about Pitigliano.

Beautiful place to stay in Pitigliano - Casa Messi (art & designed apt). We stayed at apt No 3 on Revolta st. It was beautiful and comfortable, with lots of attention to little details. Would love to come again
