Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cala dei Gabbiani, Seagulls’ beach, I think it’s the most beautiful beach of Sardinia, starting from its water colours to its beautiful underground made by high walls of rocks and enormous woods. The white pebbles give a huge light to all the beach and the atmosphere is just amazing. Its name comes from the seagulls habit to come to this beach when the sun sets, in the evening.

We returned after 6 years, always via organized dinghy tours, so an hour and off we went.
It is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, white pebbles and indescribable water that literally calls you to enter.
It's obviously crowded and it's actually better to be careful of the friability of the rocks behind you, an issue that the Sardinia region will soon have to face head on, I think.
To go there at least once in your life

I was born and I live in Costa Smeralda so trust me if I say that this beach is paradise! It can be reached by boat only but it is very easy to find an inflatable dingy in Cala Gonone

Beautiful beach, a little rough (due to winds) but all stones with a few sharp rocks. Strongly recommend reef shoes to help you out - especially getting out of the water, as it's quite a steep incline over the rocks to get out. Plenty of tourist boats coming in and out so be aware.

cala gabbiani we vistited in early morning hours and it was realy wonderful. there were nearly no people arround and we had the beach nearly for us own. this was also the case for the whole day. a perfect place to let dangle the soul.
the fine white stoney beach is realy spectacular, but slopes not so gently into the sea. very fast it getting deeper. this is the reason, because cala gabbiani is not realy a perfect place for families with small children. directly behind the beach the breathtaking and hundreds of meters high steepcoast begins and the vegetation is realy rare. only a little bit maccia is growing. big rocks are lying in the water and with watershoes it is possible to climb up and jump down.
because there are no natural shadow zones on the beach it is absolutely neccessary to have a parasol, sun protection such as food and drinks in the beach luggage, because theres no beachbar or anything else.
the water is crystalclaer and shows every type of blue and it was a pleasure to swim and splash there.
cala gabbiani is only reachable by boat from cala gonone and arbatax. the prices depend on the season. we payed 25 euros per person for both ways.
we enjoyed cala gabbiani very much. it was a highlight during our trip to the gulf of orosei.

Beautiful Beach and area! We rented a boat in Arbatax and went 2 hrs down the coast visiting all the beaches and grottos. We were there in August - when the Italians have their summer break, so a bit crouded.
Bring Food! there are small kiosks on some of the beaches, but not sufficient for lunch.
Bring a diving mask and snorkel as well, the water is crystal clear!

It is beautiful but there are too many people to feel relaxed. Day cruises never stop and we were part of one of these.

This is a stunning beach. We came here as part of a boat tour. It really is a beautiful beach but unfortunately gets overcrowded with the vast number of boat trips. Definitely bring a parasol and plenty of water. All the beaches on this stretch of coastline are stunning.

Just right South from Cala Mariolu lies another treasure of Golfo di Orosei: Spiaggia dei Gabbiani. In fact there's just a big rock between the two beaches. While not as famous as his neigbor, spiaggia dei Gabbiani is choosen by locals for his tranquillity.

Swimming is great here. You can find plenty of shade close to the mountains at the natural small caves sculpted by the sea.
