Brenda was lovely and fantastic, she was very attentive with our children and she let them take the big key that opens the main door of the castle. The explanations were clear and many stories.

We took the guided tour of the castle, so glad we did. You can read all the markers at each station around the grounds, but having a more personal experience only enriches this fabulous site. Make sure you allow plenty of time to explore the outer areas (and for photo opts...which you may have to wait for until people get... More

The castle was building in a valley, so you can have a full view and you should try to get into those medieval days, and for sure get inside of the castle also to know more about it! It's not far from Dublin!

Went here last week for Heritage week. I would definitely recommend the tour. Our guide was extremely informed and enthusiastic he made it live. Inside the castle was amazing. It was great even on a rainy day. I always have seen the castle but its only now you realise the beauty is on the inside. If you are into castles... More

This is the castle where Braveheart was filmed. It is from the 1100's and has a lot of history for the past 900 years. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and you get to walk out to all the floors and along the roof as part of the tour. We had a lot of wind on the top as the... More

Really enjoyed our tour of this place. The guide was funny and very knowledgeable, the tour was well-paced, and the way they renovated the castle for visitors, with a canvas roof to let in light and cool wooden catwalks that give you a great birds-eye view from inside, was really neat. Definitely worth the four Euro and the hour of... More

We only had a few hours to spare, as we were flying home in the evening. What a beautiful place Trim is. Loved the castle and the surrounding walks along the river. Great setting. We also popped in to the Castle Hotel for some lunch and coffee. Excellent food, good value for money and good friendly service. Just a final... More

This is a really cool castle to go see (unless you are terrified of heights). The tour guide Brenda was funny and interesting. There was a scared child and she helped calm him by making him laugh! The history of the castle was very interesting and it also happens to be one of the spots they filmed Braveheart!

I loved the castle. The history behind it and the layout of the castle were very interesting the views surrounding are very pretty, you could see why they would choose to put a castle here. Definitely put this on your places to visit you will not be disappointed!

Siobhan made our day!! Best tour guide ever! We had such fun with her. She made the tour interesting and funny and she was very knowledgeable about the castle. We were a group of eight ranging in age from 8 to 80 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Siobhan
