This is quite possibly one of the best museums about the Normandy landings in existence. It's full of facts, true stories, bios and loaded with original artifacts. You can read about men who were instrumental in the operations, their stories, see maps of military operations, even visit a briefing room. You can take some snaps next to actual WW2 vehicles... Takes a look at the D-Day landings from the side of the Germans as well as the allies. Well preserved items from the era and moving stories from those who were there. A must visit if you are in the area.

There are a lot of exhibits with a ton of military equipment that tell the story of the landings on Utah Beach. There is also an overview movie that gives a lot of background on the landings that happened here. The beach is directly behind the museum & there are other outdoor monuments to see. The parking is free &... More

This now-empty beach once was once filled with land-mines, miles of barbed wire and metal barricades. The Utah Beach museum details in its exhibits--tanks, airplanes, pieces of landing bridges, landing boats, and tons of military gear--and films, how important this beach was to enable the eventual liberation of France. Troops from here were able to take the port of Cherbourg... More

We should have actually dedicated way more time to this museum, its very well put together, and full of material from that time. Make time to watch the "movie" it gives you an amazing overview of the scenario.

We visited this museum on October 17th. There are several places next to the road leading to the museum where you can park your car for free. The museum gives a discount for active military. There is a lot to see and read, some parts are interactive. If you want to take pictures without people in front you will have to... More

What a fantastically well laid out and informative, historical and very sensory record of that fateful day in history when the allies started to force the oppressors from France. The artefacts, the information the layout all help the visitor to understand why Utah was such an important place and why we must continue to remember.

Many aspects of D-day are presented here. You'll find many personal stories as well as stuff on military strategy, military equipment etc. For adults the admission fee is €8. There is a lot of stuff also at the end of the exhibition. So also move on in the beginning.

This museum as many are a great place to experience and field how soldiers and local people live or lost their life, it's a small price to pay to be there. Do not miss also the visit of others great museum around and cemetery.

This museum tells the story of Utah beach's role in D-Day in a very thorough and comprehensive way, while maintaining the visitor's interest throughout. The mix of information about overall events and of particular individuals' stories of life, death and bravery combine to give a comprehensive and moving tribute to all those who were involved in D-Day at Utah beach....
