Half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve the Sky Walk is located: This complex use trails, suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction to the ecology and natives of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide. Also discover the night wildlife at our Sky Walk Night Tour.

Interesting walk. The long walk is not long and recommended. Start with bridge 1 and after bridge 4 do bridge 6 to go back to finish the tour with bridge 5. Nice top of the forest views.

Don't let the height or swinging motion of the suspension bridges bother you ... they are inspected often (or so they say - lol). Wear good hiking boots or sneakers, have a raincoat available, bottle of water, but most of all ... bring your camera....More

Fantastic Day out. We loved the cloudforest and Monteverde in general but the skywalk gives you a perspective like no other. The canopy is beautiful and the skywalk gives you an amazing view of it and the rolling hills all around. It's an easy walk...More

We would do this again and again. Every visit. It was heaven- excellent. Bring an umbrella or raincoat. It's warm. Camera is a must. I wish I could be there now. Magical. Paradise. You walk in clouds and your warm and it's surreal.

We did the walk in the morning (8am), before the crowds so it was just a couple of people on the bridges and trails. The views are amazing from the bridges, I would say this is a must in the region. We saw some wildlife,...More

This was really cool. There are a lot of hanging bridges that are really fun to walk over. We saw some Spider monkeys in the trees and some other animal called a Guatuso. It was a lot of fun. Kids would love this hike.

Loved the walk among the hanging bridges. Little shaky but a fun experience. The guide was excellent telling us all sorts of interesting facts and even spotting a sloth we would have walked right by. He was able to answer all our questions. The walk...More

A very nice walk above the beautiful flora and fauna of the Cloud forest. The view 155 meters above the valley floor puts you above tallest trees and ferns. Sensory quiet among a huge tourist trap. When you back into that trap you are refreshed.

We opted for the unguided walk, and were utterly underwhelmed. It felt like walking through woods that could have been anywhere, we saw and heard absolutely zero wildlife, and the view from the hanging bridges was not particularly spectacular. For that, we paid $88 for...More

You can certainly do it on your own. That's what I did. You will mostly see pristine cloud forests from the hanging bridges and some exotic birds if you are lucky. There is really not much a guide can add to your experience... More
