We stayed in old "Ossewaens" it was really a nice culture experience. The shower facilities were nice and clean. There was some right-winged people camping outside but other than that was a great experience

Visited this remote site and it was well worth it.We drove 20km on unpaved road with the bonus of seeing giraffes.on the way.We were the only people there.Well worth the effort to get there.Very informative regardless of your opinions.An insight into South Africa’s history rightly...More

Visited both sides. Both very informative and appropriate. The Boer site is very interesting and had a great restaurant. Well worth the wait.

loads to see in the area if you are interested in the Zulu wars, also the sites of the Rorke's Drift

you can feel the war and wagons , canons guns still there to see only the humans are gone but this time peaceful humans you can see around other side of the river the new cultural center erected and worth to see

This was the highlight of our visit to the region. It is a beautiful site. The history is amazing and to hear stories and tales of that time was very endearing. The bronze oz-wagens brought home the enormity of the event and fighting back tears...More

We watched a 40 min movie before going to the actual sight. This helped to understand the actual battle even more. Very clean and well kept

Do visit Blood River Heritage Site near Dundee. The road R33 is gravel but well maintained. The 12 minute video in the museum is very interesting and a must watch. Have a coffee or something to eat at the restaurant. Then take a short drive...More
