Our friends that live locally had only visited on a quiet day and today wasn’t that. Busy car park but fun ferry trip across the river and riverside walk to cable bridge and riverside walk back. Picnic in field by river followed by walk up...More

Symonds Yat is now dominated by the caravan park. There is very little interest for visitors and if you drive n the occupants of the caravans are virtually hostile to visitors. Don't waste your time visiting Symonds Yat !!

This is a beautiful location with fantastic view along the Wye Valley. It is quite busy and the roads are a little narrow. But the views from the viewing station are spectacular.

Second time we have visited and will definitely be back. We parked at the top car park and walked down through the woods to the river, brilliant. You could spend all day there. Our dog loved it.

As viewpoints go, there isn’t anything more that you could desire from Symonds Yat. We went on a clear day which meant that the panoramic vista was quite simply breathtaking. There is a walk from the car park (no notes or card payments at the...More

This is well worth a visit. We went last week and the views were absolutely stunning. The leaves on the trees were turning beautiful shades of yellow, orange and red adding a fantastic extra to what would otherwise have been totally amazing.
