Great large Plaza with a fine old church . There are numerous restaurants and tapas bars on the way to the plaza. It is in the old part of town so naturally the architecture will stun you and the little tapa bars will enchant you.

This square and the buildings around are one of the finest examples of monumental architecture in the area. Built in the XVIth century by the local gentry, the whole complex includes a stunning square and a Renaissance palace -unfortunately, I couldn´t visit its indoors- plus...More

This is the highlight of a small town that packs a punch.... Nice streets, nice places to eat and a church thrown in! Worth an hour or two if in the area. Plus of course the home of Albarinho wine and European wine capital for...More

This square has a church that you can visit for free. Then you have several wineries if you want to taste some. It's a wide space, beautiful to walk and to sit down and admire life here.

Very nice and well kept plaza. Also the old town behind it is very well kept and worth walking around. Shame it is a little over commercialed by wine cellars and sellers.

Who would have thought that such a small town could have such a wonderfully spectacular square? It's huge and completely unspoilt, you could actually be in the Middle Ages

The Plaza is surrounded on two sides by the Gil Armada bodega, which is in the Pazo de Fefinans and well worth a visit, both for the tour of the mansion and the wine tasting. The Pazo used to be linked with the church, which...More

I didn't find the square particularly attractive. The carved faces on the walls were pretty worn. There are some pleasant inexpensive cafes to enjoy a drink or lunch.

We came to the plaza as we were doing a wine tasting tour. unfortunately is was raining. This region is famous for alborino wine. The wine tour is a must as you not only get to sample the wine but you learn about the area.
