An excellent walk around the lagoon , certainly clears the head. It's a fantastic place to watch the sunset. This walk is also well used by local families.

This boardwalk is well maintained and much easier that walking on Sand! it extends for 8 km along the beach to the mouth of the river. For geocachers like me it has some cache's along the way, one of which is only accessible at low...More

This is what Alvor is all about! A great walking area around the estuary and through the nature reserve. We walked all the way to the end of the boardwalks and came back via the beach. Take your camera for birds and the kite surfers

Excellent plus to this wonderful beach & can only enhance the appeal of this resort.Ideal for walkers, cyclists, runners but not for those with walking difficulties. Many beach bars & restaurants on route from the Atlantida one end to those at the harbour end.

We have visited Alvor over many years and have enjoyed our walks on the full length of the beach. Having legs that are not as good as they were, the broadwalk has allowed us the continued access to the whole of the beach

This is the best boardwalk I've come across in The Algarve. It's easily accessible, runs the full length of the town beach from the breakwater in the west to the interesting rock formations in the east.
