This very small "museum" with next to no exhibits holds a hugely significant message....peace. This is a place of reflection & very humbling, you'll be standing where German soldiers were desperately & hastily making their retreat. Where US led allied forces where pressing hard to...More

The bridge was an important piece in the WWII history, as the German Army was unable to explode it timely to avoid the US troops to cross the river and shorten the war. However, the site deserved a much better infrastructure for tourism.

During our cruise down the Rhine River we passed Remagen, and the cruise manager on the AmaKristina provided a detailed account of the significance of the Ludendorff Bridge during World War II. This is an impressive story, and I'm pleased we were able to see...More

Not easy to get to - parking is a modest walk away, lots of stairs, took a ferry from Linz to cross the river - but worth a modest diversion of a couple of hours. It costs 3.5 euros a person. Part of the museum...More

Not sure what to expect, disappointed by the lack of available material in English apart from some repetitive displays. Served it purpose and the exhibits and photographs were interesting.

Warning - the museum does not take credit cards and the nearest ATM is approximately a half mile walk. With that out of the way, The Peace Museum is undoubtably the most famous attraction in Remagen and a fitting tribute to all who fought for...More

Housed in one of the towers this little museum has plenty of fascinating details, pictures and artefacts from the ww2 period and beyond. Well worth a visit.

The peace museum is a small museum, partly about the bridge at remagen, and partly about peace in general. The bridge at remagen was a strategically important crossing which the allies used late in the way, before the Germans bombed it and destroyed it, killing...More

Yes, there are several restaurants on the river with excellent terraces (assuming the weather is good) about a 5-10 minute (flat) walk along the river promenade. Several of those with seating outside should be able to... More
