Always loved the Castle and the gardens. Think the carp in the mote are the same ones I remember as a child, they are pretty old & big! The Castle is well worth a tour as it's interesting & beautifully kept. The surrounding grounds are...More

We had the good fortune to have visited Buckeburg. It was grand indeed: ball room, sitting areas, suites, opulent halls, decor and furniture were all enjoyed during the tour. We had a delicious lunch at their cafe / restaurant. We would visit again in a...More

Bückeburg is a great city to visit, and the Castle is one of its main attractions but not only. It is beautiful but park around is evenly beautiful as well as a lot of other historic buildings around. 100 percent worth visiting.

We visited the castle with friends checking out wedding venues. It was a rainy day and we arrived by train walking through the town to the castle. I thought the 15 Euro charge was a bit dear, but then found that included everything, the castle,...More

This is the place to visit, in order to feel the romantic charm of classical beauty. Lots of wooded areas around the Castle. A moat with ducks and other birds... Try to get a guided tour of the building.

Buckeburg is one of the few places in germany that still have a kind of monarchy. I grew up in that small town, for us it was normal to skate on the moat in the winter, play in the parks surrounding this beautiful castle, climb...More
