I thought it was fairly pricey for what you get. It's not English-friendly so know the names of your animals. There is a train for people to view the park. I thought it was weird that they have an enclosure you can climb in and pet the bunnies. They also have a penguin exhibit where children can harass and chase... More

This was a zoo, founded already hundreds of years ago. It was still going strong and had everything from wild boars to penguins. Huge area, if you choose to walk the whole way......

The animals walk along with you as you explore this very historic, very special place. To call it a zoo is too limiting; in the States this entire park would be called an animal encounter. Wolves, reindeer, lynx, goats that smell like chèvre, sheep, storks and a large kinder park - as well as a pub if you so desire... More

This is a nice local tierpark, which offers a worthwhile daytime stroll. We would have loved to have seen more animals local to the area. Still it is a pleasant time spent walking, and the views of the castle is spectacular as it used to be the castles grounds.

The Sababurg castle is also known as the Sleeping Beauty Castle. The grounds around the castle has an animal park and trails to explore the hills and forest. Very pleasant place to spend a day or afternoon.

This nature reserve is one of the oldest in Europe, but not doubt they have work hard to keep it up to date and it is one of the best thing to do if you are in this area. We were there early in the morning, at opening time. For about an hour we were almost by ourselves witnessing the... More

I went here with my family - husband and 16 year old son and the dog :) Dogs have to be kept on a lead but it is a huge area to walk around so the dog will get a lot of exercise :) We took a picnic and ate it along the way - we stayed for a couple... More

There is a small zoo with about 20 different types of animals in this park of which children could also feed the animals and get close to them if they liked. This park is huge. But you can choose to walk around the park or catch a small tour bus that will bring you around. However, the commentaries are in... More

After 2 weeks of intense site seeing, we were all a little tired of the crowds everywhere we went. We stumbled onto this zoo and it was the perfect end to our vacation. The animals were in large, natural enclosures and you could interact with many of them. It wasn't crowded and there were animals that I had never seen... More
