Soothing place to spend your evening. With the castle tower and nearby garden providing a perfect picnic spot, this is one of the must visit place in Esslingen. Don't miss the view of the cathedral and old rathaus from here.

After 10 minutes climbing on the old steps. You could see the panoramic view of this beautiful town Esslingen. And also choose another small track down back to the city. It has no steps but can be closer to Hi the wine grapes. 大約爬行十分鐘的樓梯,你可以觀賞到Esslingen 美麗的城市全景。享受覺美的大草坪已經微風。下去時可以選擇旁邊的小徑,沒有樓梯且更貼近葡萄樹。

This is one my favourite part every time I go visit Esslingen - whether at noon, at night, you get such a great view on the region! It sure always feels like such a long walk up (very exhausting I found, each time), but the...More

Esslinger Burg is great place where we can see Esslinger valley and Nakar River. Its nice to see how they build Burg. Even Wine ward looks nice too. What i don't like the most that lots of empty bottle left over.

We hiked up to the Burg, via the path through the vineyards, rather than scaling the steps. This was easier for my wife, who struggles with long vertical climbs. Once we got to the top, the views of Esslingen below, we very nice.

A nice stop if you are Esslingen. It’s a good walk to the top and a nice view of the city once you reach the top.

We bussed it up to this defence castle. You can walk up the steep steps from the town or through the vineyards. We had bern walking around town all morning and felt the bus ride would keep us happier. Well worth the trip up. Great...More

We have always loved visiting 'The Burg' in Esslingen. There are an array of swings, playgrounds, cubby houses etc for little kids as well as bigger kids. There is also plenty of green grass to kick a ball around or have a picnic...and all of...More

But most people park somewhere near the Market Place of Esslingen and walk up the romantic old stairs to the Burg, where you have awesome views on Esslingen and you feel thrown back to the Medieval.
