There were repairs when we went. Plus there was a 20 baht fee per person before you are allowed to go out of the port which was confusing. One staff was kind enough to usher us and explain why it was needed. Anyhow, they should put...More

As a place for docking boats it was very handy. What else does one say when reviewing a pier? It had shelter from the sun or rain and things to tie the boats to, so all good.

The pier is well organised and welcoming. Refreshments and local transport are available and people are relaxed are smiling, more than Bangkok. Its an island that is touristy but not as much as Koh Samui

We came in on Monday. It was chaos. Hot full of people. And have to pay again. So you pay for boat for pier and for park. And taxi.....just take a speedboat

I guess it's good that it's on tripadvisor because you can see everyone moaning that you have to pay 20 baht to get off it, but it's certainly not a place worth visiting.

I do not know why so many reviewers are carping on about the small THB 20 fee payable on arrival at Koh Samet. Maybe it would be better incorporated into the ferry ticket price from Ban Phe across on the mainland, but so what? It...More

You have to pay an extra 20 baht to leave the building. the fee is not announced in advance when you enter the ferry. not a big ammount at all, but that ist just the start to an unpleasant travel experience.

Extortionate maintenance payment fee upon landing. Avoid it and get a boat directly to your beach resort, as it's quicker and cheaper
