This buddha is so big, it’s awesome to take pictures here. In general there is a lot to see around the “park” - many temples and buddhas. Very friendly locals live here.

This is a first rate attraction simply for the huge (433 feet tall) standing, reclining, and seated (under construction) buddhas and the 'wow' look at that factor. Not being religious or Buddhist the size significance was lost on me but I won't discount it's importance...More

The standing Buddha together with the reclining Buddha and the seated Buddha, which is being built, are all worth visiting though the Standing Buddha is the most spectacular. From outside it disappears into the clouds and is a totally amazing sight but close up it...More

One of the “must see” things in Myanmar, it is very hard not to see the world’s tallest Buddha from anywhere in the district. Located just down the road from Thanboddhay Paya (The ½ million Buddha Pagoda), I would have been happy not visiting, but...More

Personally, we found the huge standing Buddha and the reclining Buddha a cross between Disneyland and Sun City. If you like that sort of thing - fine. The caves at Po Win were filthy but again if you like monkeys and caves... More
