This place was almost like a park full of temples. It was really interesting to see all the different shapes and sizes from Buddhist looking ones to Hindu looking ones. Deffo worth a stop from/to the reclining buddha.

One of the famous pagoda in Monywa and drive about five minutes to Bodhi Tahtaung Pagoda. Situated on the way to Mandalay. It is one of the pagoda you should not miss in your visit to Monywa.

It was a complete Buddha-overload, and absolutely amazing to see. There are about 6 million Buddhas in the temple, it was mind-blowing.

This is a very colourful pagoda. I stayed a short while, talking with a local who was visiting on Full Moon Day. I enjoyed the ambience. If I had spent more time, I'm sure I would be enjoyed myself more.

We just visited this, but decided not to go inside. The outside is spectacular with so many Buddha statues. From very tiny to bigger ones. You can't count them all. The colours of the building are bright, which gives it a special touch. Especially, when...More
