Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Operating a wine tasting cellar is an art. A good operator who is knowldgeable without being pretentious and has the ability to make their customers feel at ease might even be able to make poor wines taste good (having been caught before). So when the wines are good to start with and the host is as affable and passionate as James the experience was exceptional. Make this the last vineyard you visit in the Granite Belt as it will generate too higher expectations for the rest (especially if James is behind the counter). But definitely visit!

On a receipt wine tour, we visited Symphony Hill Wines.
We have visited them before and have been wine club members for 7 years, their wine is always outstanding.
However this visit was different and was made very special, due to James (the son of owners who works at the cellar door on weekends).
James kindly gave us a tour of the winery and let us all experience the wonders of their special wine tasting room, surrounded by beautiful wine barrels.
The wine speaks for itself and is in a league of its own.
James truly takes the whole experience to another level, as he has an infectious personality and his knowledge and customer service is exceptional.
Everyone on the wine tour with Granite Highlands Maxitours was truly humbled by the wine tasting experience James allowed us to have. We all enjoyed purchasing some beautiful wine.
Thank you James and Symphony Hill Wines for making our day so special.
See you again next year.

Well a cellar door pleasure. We had the pleasure of the owners wife take us thru the wine list. Pleasant, knowledgeable and witty.
The wines at 10am in the morning we’re tasty, plenty of bony and rolled off the tongue.
We purchased about $800 worth and no doubt will order more from the wine club.
The premises were immaculate and clean.
We meet the owner Ewen, again delightful, witty and knowledgeable.

This place comes with all the accolades boasting three of their wines are served on Qantas business class flights, I'm sorry I was less than impressed. Served a a young bloke who portrayed no knowledge of the wines, he just kept walking around with two bottles of wine in his hand asking which one do you want to try, it was an effort for him to explain what it was actually in the bottle. Then there was the price, by far the most expensive of the 10 cellar doors I visited on the Granite Belt and very forcefully charging the tasting fee to anyone in attendance. Not recommended from my point of view, their are some fabulous cellar doors in the region with far better ambience, service and price.

Very friendly staff, greeted as soon as we walked in. Free wine tasting, staff were very knowledgeable. We weren't overly familiar with the area, and the lovely lady working there offered us great suggestions of places to visit. Easy access and parking. Definitely worth a visit. We visited mid week so it was not crowded, it is not a large area but they offer some other local items for sale as well.

This was our first stop for the day. James welcomed our puppy in and was also very welcoming to us humans. He had excellent knowledge of the wines and region and was very entertaining. The wines were also very nice. We spent quite a while at Symphony Hill learning and enjoying the tasting the whole range of wines. This place is a must-see on the winery tour!

Our group of 7 had such a fantastic time at this winery!
Abraham served our group and he was knowledgeable, funny and lovely.
The wines were brilliant, we signed up to the wine club and we are so glad we did.
A plentiful and generous tasting, lovely setting and lovely wines!
A gem on the granite belt.

We had a wonderful time doing some wine tasting with Marty who was friendly and professional and welcoming. And were so pleasantly surprised with the wines! We even came back the next day on our way home to buy some more. Will definitely return when we visit Stanthorpe area again.

What a great winery to visit. Stepping into the tasting room surrounded by wine barrels set the scene for a great tasting. The wines offered here are truly worth the time to stop. The Pinot Gris and Fiano were my favourites. Ewen is a great host and has a wealth of knowledge to tap into. Highly recommend a visit.
