A nice place to drop by to learn more about the town. Definitely the inside is way more interesting than it seems from the outside. This attraction is free (they accept donations so please do) so there's nothing to lose really.

We arrived after hours, but enjoyed the outside displays, especially those related to how trains figured in early logging work. I'm a sucker for trains. The displays are neat, well kept, and interesting.

Great little museum. Entry is by donation. There are some nice trains and artifacts of the early days of logging. Big parking lot, A&W across the street, take a break here if you're heading to Port Renfrew.

There are a series of trains set up and some history of the area--nicely done and right bedside the Lake Cowicahn and a waterfront walkway. And it is free and not at all busy and the whole area is very clean

I like to take visitors to the museum just across the street from where I live. There are many pictures and information about the old growth forests that were here and how the early logging was done.
