“The museum opens for the 2017 season on Sunday March 26 at 10am. The Grampian Transport Museum is a living museum that probes the past, present and future. Many exhibits are climb aboard, hands on and even ride on! Every season the museum refreshes around one third of its exhibits –this year’s exhibition includes the Guy Martin collection; Guy has very kindly loaned the museum several items from his personal collection including a stunning Rolls Royce Merlin engine from a Spitfire, several of his motorbikes plus the Gravity racer which he crashed spectacularly at 90mph. A few old favourites remain, including Billy Connolly’s Boom Lowrider motortrike, as seen in his ‘World Tour of England, Ireland and Wales’ TV show and the ex-Grampian Police Rover SD1 Vitesse. The museum continues to celebrate the Scottish Motor Industry with ‘Made in Scotland’ – showcasing a number of Scottish made vehicles, including the Linwood made Hillman Imp. This year the museum is celebrating the bicentenary of the bicycle with a special exhibition that explores the routes of the modern bicycle and celebrates 200 years of one of the greatest transport revolutions. Continuing in 2017 is the GTM's very own Junior Driving School - a fun and educational introduction to road safety and driving for 4 to 10 year olds. Open 10am – 5pm daily, April – September and 10am – 4pm until October 29.”

GTM is a lovely museum. Not too big but much to see. Enough to see and to step back in time. Good old times come again. Some special vehicles are displayed as well.

Went here with my kids to try to pass a day where once again it was raining. Some really great exhibits in here and well worth the entrance fee. Loved the classic cars myself and staff are very friendly.

Hello, thank you for your question. I can confirm that the current concession entry rate is £8. We do not offer disability scooters, however we do have a wheelchair which can be used at no additional cost. GTM
