Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant walk along promenade above beach with red sand. Very nice ice creams from just inside pier building right hand side next to arcade. Toilets nearby free and clean. Good to see plenty of bottles being recycled and made into art forms in amongst the flower beds.

Great weather for October so went to the beach which was not the best and was full of dogs for the majority of the promenade.
Pier only short and very old.
Lots of cafes and seating along the front so you can have a take out rather than sitting in.
Town centre is split along several streets and lots of shops to browse in.
Ferry across to Shaldon isn’t suitable for elderly people due to uneven beach access and gang plank! Best to drive over the bridge.
Lovely little lighthouse by the carpark near lifeboat station/quayside.

Quite rundown it's a typically UK seaside resort that needs money spent on it. Not a very interesting place to visit. Most of the shops were closed. There is public toilet on the front but again needs attention.

this place sucks its the worst place to live if you're less than 80 years old. looks like s*** smells like s*** the worst kind of people live here. zero things to do and its nothing but a place you can have your beach hut you never use and a place to try and convince your grand kids who don't talk to you to come to

After 5 months of lock-down, I really needed to stretch my legs and get some fresh air. So after lunch one day we took a walk from one end of the beach to the other. It was overcast, so although it was August, the beach was quite quiet. And absolutely beautiful. We paddled, picked up loads of shells, watched the huge cruise ships currently moored in the bay and generally blew the cobwebs away and had a really lovely walk.

I visit Teignmouth to use the lido, and shop and eat and make a day of it, annually my holiday. I was disappointed the lido was closed as was the one at Brixham, a poor decision. I am a key worker and understand the risks of covid 19 but honestly feel it would be safer to use an outdoor pool, than indoor pool.

We visited Teignmouth after a few hours in Dawlish

We parked down at the sea front , Great car park for large vehicles. (Lots of camper vans around )

On one side there is the beach and on the other an estuary with lots of boats
We had a lovely walk across the beach with our dogs. A great place to let off steam !

The Pier was sadly closed but on reflection it probably needs some TLC (it’s over 100 years old)

Lots to do for young families. The skate park and adventure golf, a great place for the little ones to play.

The beach was full of litter and the experience is ruined by the many drunks who seem to inhabit the town. It was very run down and the pier was easily the worst i've ever seen. It's a shame as it could be nice here but it's not.

Horrible dirty beach with run down derelict pier on brink of collapse. The town has few shops and is full of drunks, and fights occur every night. It's also the worst town in Devon for criminal damage.
