We were staying at the villa owned by the Fontodi family and asked for a tasting at the winery. Very nice wines and excellent tour. The Chianti Classico, Syrah and Vin Santo were all excellent. The hospitality was fab.

We went here for wine tasting based on the reviews. The tasting was average at best, not a great deal of attention was paid to us and we were given limited information about the wines. It's ok but not as good as others in the...More

Great winery. Family owned and has a very broad range of quality wines. Located just 'down the road' from Panzano and in a lovely location. Magnificent wines ranging from Chanti Classico to Pinot Noir and some exquisite varietals

Friends had recommended visiting Fontodi Winery and glad that we did. A bit challenging to find but that's common for the wineries off of the Chiantigana roadway, just follow the little signs. The drive up was magnificent with rolling hillside views, fields, forests and sunflowers....More

You do not have to book ahead of time, but I suggest that you contact them and arrange a suitable time, as they can then organise to show you around the winery.
