One of the average cities of Gujarat.. The cement factory on the Somnath road is one of the culprit to pollute the whole city which will be engulfed with dust almost all the time.. The city infrastructure is also not that great.. The land of the bapu can have better roads and infrastructure.. The density of traffic is too huge... More

Madhavpur beach is one of the most beautiful and pristine beach I have visited in India. While there are some camels to take you from the road to the beach, the water is clean and not as polluted as one is used to seeing on most of the beaches in India.

Their are many beaches in India, & it can not be said that this one is one of the best, but its a good one. The city is under mass development phase right now, & that is the biggest problem here. But Porbandar is certainly a very good place to visit at least once. Their are many attractions to visit,... More

It is like many beaches in India. It has potential but lack of maintenance has left the beach strewn with rubbish. Cows are everywhere. People just come here and sit around. They have their snacks and throw rubbish around. No one really cares about their town. The road to beach is full of potholes. The rickshaw driver could not drive... More

We were on way to Somnath from Jamnagar. This is a beach which is situated on highway after crossing the city(Porbandar). Park your vehicle according to your convenience, move towards the sea water. Roasted groundnuts, tea, coffee and coconut water are available there. Beach area is not very clean and it is not safe to move inside the water. Less than... More

An extremely dirty, smelly, obnoxious place indeed. It was surprising to see such a big crowd there despite all this ! Maybe due to the holidays plus there being no other options to the people to go to ??? The beach is so dirty that wading / bathing in the sea cannot be contemplated at all.

Porbander beach has been developed by the city by making conveniences like benches and a walking/ jogging track along the beach road. The beach in this small town is not much crowded as in other places like Mumbai Juhu Beach. The beach is quiet clean and one can spend a pleasant evening watching sunset at the beach.

The beach is dirty and poorly maintained. Lot needs to be done to make it worthy of visit. I will not recommend it to anyone.
