It is not a temple rather a big house which is extremely clean and peaceful. There is no entry fee & one needs to remove shoes before entering inside. Place gives you insight about bapu's life from child to youth.

I was mesmerized to see the birthplace of Gandhiji. After waiting for so long years, I got this opportunity of seeing this temple. The pictures, mementos, of Gandhiji are worth seeing and reading. But I was shocked to see the environment outside, road condition, worst market area are making the area hell. The monument of International repute require great attention... More

Journey through narrow lanes of Porbandar takes you to the place where Mahatma Gandhi spent the best years of life. Kept in original state. Very peaceful surroundings.

EXCELLENT. A must visit place in Porbandar. However, since it is in old city, there is NO parking. Lot of roads around Kirti Mandir are one ways. The approach roads are very narrow. Take care. There is also a Suvienoer shop.

There are no new videos, souvenirs, or guide available, restroom facilities should... More

The father of the nation took birth here at this place, a sprawling spacious three storey bungalow in late eighteenth century talks about the luxury a kid had, but the seeds of satyagraha, non violence, equanimity, Swadeshi, took wild imaginations here that took him to Britain to study law and then South Africa to practice law, which later galvanised a... Kiriti Mandir is a temple built in memory of Gandhiji. Next to the mandir is the ancestral home of Gandhiji and about a kilometer away is Kasturba's ancestral home. The Kirti Mandir is one of the main tourist attraction in the area. The place is maintained well. It hosts a gallery with numerous photos, letters, relics from the life of... More
