The oval is used as an off leash dog park when not hosting sports. It is secure, with several lockable gates around the perimeter.

Richmond is no doubt a high density area. So if you live in a terrace house or one the hundreds of apartments which have mushroomed in recent time, space can be a luxurious thing. Citizen Park has a football oval which provides ample rooms to unleash your pets, kick a ball with your kids or jog around. It also has a children playground with swings, slides for the young ones and a public electric BBQ place for the hungry ones.

This place is in the heart of richmond and only really is known to locals. A lovely place to sit and watch richmond locals walk by. I wouldn't go out of my way though to go here on my next trip.

As a dog owner this park has to be monitored better. There are so many dogs without council tags and also owners just using this park as a dog loo. I can't possibly recommend this park as it has to be a breeding ground for dog disease from the amount of people just not giving any health care about theirs or other dogs. If you care about your pooch, It's a scary park to take them.

There was cricket underway on the oval and kids in the playground, while dog walkers passed by. I do not think I had noticed the huge enclosed slide before and the multiple swings were getting a good work out.

great playground for the kids to play with lots of shady trees. good also for dog walking and running around in the oval. also there are lots of sports teams doing their thing in the oval

This park seems to have something for everybody and is a real focus to the local community. there is a lot of organised sport on the oval but when not in use it is a great place for dogs and with the loos and children's play area it makes it a very easy place to bring children.

Great place to come with your dog. Nice little playground as well. City views. Grassy areas are nice for picnics. Barbeques and tables available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Reasonable parking. Toilets here too.

This is a popular location for sporting teams (who have preference to the oval for training and games), dog lovers and families with a great playground and bbq area.
