Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I did the Wild Fermented Class which was very informative. Louise was a very knowledgeable presenter. She offered many little tips to help us in our practice of producing fermented foods and other healthy tips. This was then followed by a guided walk through the edible forest. It is an amazing achievement to have included so many amazing food producing plants. Loved it, so motivating with many wonderful ideas to incorporate in my own garden.

I was lucky enough to attend a fermentation class at the Edible Forest. In the class we made a couple of fermented foods which we were able to take with us. I'm looking forward to when they are ready to eat. We then had a tour of the beautiful edible forest. I thoroughly recommend it very interesting and I felt I learnt a lot especially about plants that I didn't know were edible. I hope to return to the Edible Forest again. Thank you Louise and Jamie a wonderful morning.

Had a great time. Such a beautiful experience. I went with my mum and two young kids and we were lucky enough to have Louise the director do a guided tour. The garden is beautiful and we learnt so much and even purchased many of the plants we ate. So much inspiration for our garden and an experience and memory we will have forever. Can’t recommend mote highly. We will be back and a great present idea for the family or a group of friends. Thanks Louise for such a wonderful experience.

We went to the open day and were blown away by the standard and care of the edible gardens. Each staff member was well equipped with knowledge and expertise to answer questions.
The open day itself was fantastic and well laid out. I’d question charging young ones the $5 entry fee but that’s just a minor thing. This is very much a hidden gem and I look forward to returning.

Hi @MelR237 Thank you for attending our open day. We are so pleased you enjoyed the day and all the activities available. Our normal guided Edible Forest tour is $15 per person. We were asking $5 for the open day, as funds raised were going to our supported charity that were at the open day, Global Garden of Peace. Thanks again for joining us and we look forward to seeing you back in the Edible Forest soon. Regards The Edible Forest Team

I'm envious!
Best kept secret in the Yarra Valley. Eight of us booked in for this tour with Dale which went for just over an hour. We wanted it to go for half the day. Fascinating, educational, beautiful and productive. Dale is enthusiastic and commuted to this project and bubbles with information. Really good fun, looking forward to the coffee shop opening! Well done guys.

A great class to those new to this style of food preparation. Tutor Dale had detailed demonstrations of the way to work through making the kafir and yoghurt with plenty of options. A great space provided to work in.

Absolutely LOVED our visit to the Edible Forest at YV.
The staff were amazing and the tour of the garden was incredibly educational for our children and ourselves. All of our senses exploded as we wandered through the kitchen garden & the kids loved tasting some of the delights on offer. The Edible Forest definitely needs to be on the must do list for the Yarra Valley! These guys really do know SUSTAINABILITY.

We loved the atmosphere and enthusiasm from all the staff. They were keen to share their knowledge and happy to answer our questions. Everything about the Edible Forest from the thought out garden plan, hands on (eating our way around) approach and cooking ideas was something that stayed with me long after we'd left.

Congratulations on this amazing aspect of your wonderful property.
