Nice and challinging walk along the Mucugezinho river and visiting pools up to poço do diabo. Crossing the river in the beginning was a challenge as the bridge was broken due to extreme waterfall a few days prior to our visit. We crossed in the first time with some acrobatics on rocks, on the return we followed an easier trail we copied from another local guide.

You need to go on the right day

Avoid going on weekends and high season. The river is a delight to swim in, but small. Local commerce does not accommodate many people. To give you an idea, at the Cozinha Baiana restaurant, the ice ran out around 12:30 pm and there wasn't a bottle of beer at 1 pm (certainly a lack of planning). Other than that, we waited almost 1:30 for a simple jackfruit and cassava cupcake to arrive and I attribute this to the lack of training of the attendant, who was starting that day (they could have put the girl to do something else).

Normal river - worth a rest

Normal and nothing special on a local river, good for cooling off and resting after days of hiking and hard trails on the plateau.
