Something for everyone at this park. Hiking trails, boating, camping, cabin rentals, golfing, picnicking, dining, and so much more. Simply lovely. Almost overcrowded in the summer time. Shoulder seasons are best when kids are still in school.

Whether you're interested in hiking a small distance, or over 18 km, you'll find the right trail in Riding Mountain National Park. Be sure to be prepared to get wet, because you never know what condition the trails are in!!!

We went there in late September, and it was very, very quiet. It is clearly a summer place with plenty to do for children and teenagers; not so much for late 70s adults who like visiting cities. However, the Elkhorn Ranch has a restaurant with a menu far surperior to those in similar parks - in fact there were two... More

This is a national park of Canada and is kept natural for the nature. Wildlife roams free with sightings possible if you take the time to look. There are tails maintained to take you off the roads and do some walking during the spring, fall & summer or some skiing of snow shoeing during the winter. You will need a... More

We try to utilize this park as much as possible. It needs some improvements as several of the self guided trails are showing their age such as boreal island. That said it's what you make of it. There are plenty of picnic areas and enjoyable activities such as hiking trails, nice lakes for kayaking/canoeing. The golf course is apparently great... More

Verity of sites available to suit camping style. Facilities and grounds well maintained. Reservations can be made online, National Parks come online on different days in January ( Jan 19 for 2016 for Riding Mtn)). Abundance of activities for those of all ages. Camera and walking shoes a must. Bonus was the town of Wasagaming which is inside the park,... More

Very reasonable rate to enter. A smaller, more quaint village to explore. Everything is in walking distance.

Such a beautiful gem in the middle of nowhere. A pretty town with lots of cute shops and a nice beach. Easy to get around and very well kept. We want to go back and explore more.

I would go back over and over again. I love the camping, the walking and hiking trails, the adorable little town, the clear lake water... everything. You could easily stay here for a week or two and do something completely different every day.
