We’re not local but come to Rochester a couple of times a year and are always welcomed into this pub by the landlady and staff. One of the best pubs in Kent if you like your local ales. Decent-sized beer garden and a friendly pub...More

My Partner and i spent last Friday night in this Gem of a place, beautiful music and smiling people, curtieus bar staff and the beer helping it all to gel. You must try it before you die

We're not local to Rochester, but always call into the Man of Kent when we visit (the best pub we've found in Rochester). Called in here in December to watch Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs play. The landlady, as are all the staff, was...More

Okay so that is a little specific, but the ales really are some of the best in the towns, with a good variety on tap. There's a jam session on a Wednesday and a band on a Thursday, so when I want to start the...More

Great selection of drinks available including many real ales on hand pump (between 8 to 12), all kept very well. Found the customers and staff very polite and hospitable. Not the biggest of pubs but if you can grab yourself a seat you can very...More

Was a regular there for years until about a year ago. Popped back to see friends who were visiting from out of town and this place seems to have gone from bad to worse. The decor is dated and grubby and the landlady is rude...More

I'm not from the area but come to Rochester a lot and this pub is brilliant. Huge selection of beers, many of which are local. The bar staff and manager are friendly and have no qualms in telling rude people where to go. Great for...More
