When we went, only part of the museum was open, due to staff shortages. So we did not get to see the exhibit about Dickens, which is a shame considering the relationship Dickens had with this town. However, the part that was still open, is...More

This wonderful FREE Museum, will never be the same again. Medway council plans to sell the annex of the Guildhall Museum to fund maintenance of other historical buildings, such as the Corn Exchange. When the Conservancy building closes the council says that the 8000 artefacts...More

Beautiful Heritage building inside and out, very in-keeping with Rochester; lots of history. Medway Council through consultation have decided to close its doors .....shame on you! Visit quick whilst it's still open!

We had limited time to visit this museum and could easily have taken longer. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I think this is a place you could go back to many times and still find items of interest. Well done Rochester.
