Lovely area to explore walking up and around the river area. Parks and formal gardens stretch along the river giving plenty to explore for children and adults alike. The illuminations are held at the furthest most end during the Sept/Oct period.

The walk is what I find Matlock needs, and that is a bit of TLC. The signage was poor, and the maps were either damaged or difficult to follow. I just find that Matlock you need a little bit of renovation. It is a lovely...More

Lovely landscape with River Derwent running through. Great for walkers if you want to do the hike up in parts. We stuck to the paths and bridges

We walked a little loop along one side of the river, across a bridge, and back down the other side to our start point. Not very far. There must be a tourist guide showing the walk somewhere on line. Sorry I couldn't be of... More
