Located in the heart of Matlock Bath, the Peak District Lead Mining Museum, is a well designed and informative mining museum with a fake plastic mine for the kids to play in! Lots to see and explore. Everything is reasonably priced.

Thank you for leaving this review. It is always nice to hear that people found us good value for money. Our fake mines (actually made from wood) are very popular with both children and the young at heart.

The tour was informative and gave a real insight of the hardship of those who worked in the mine. Both our 4yr old and 9yr old really enjoyed it. Tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Panning for gold was a highlight!More

went there wanting to see the mine but they only run 1 tour a day and we missed it by about 10mins. I don't know why they only run 1 tour a day it seems a bit stupid and annoying for those who don't know...More
