From the parking place, you begin the walk through the quiet pine forest and after some time reach the coastal cliffs with fantastic views. There is an observation area near the tower (the tower itself is closed and inaccessible) with amazing views to the ocean, cliffs etc. It is an easy trail to walk, flat, no incline. The only difficulty is some sandy parts of the trail. We were considering biking, but after I have seen the trail now, I understand that was not such a good idea because the paths are not made for bikes.
We were taking this trail with two young children (in the carriers), so we walked slower than normal visitors would. It took us 2,5 hours round trip including a picnic stopover of 45 minutes.

Very helpful tourism information desk at the port! fantasic walk trough very natural , unspoiled nature reserve till El Tacho, rewarded with spectacular views ! Barbate is beautiful, excellent for walkers, beach goers , seafood lovers.

I just spent two weeks in Barbate. The weather was not great but the views were spectacular. My family and I took a walk along the amazing trails that go long the cliff coastline. On my next visit I plan to take a picnic.
