We stopped off at Biogradska Gora NP on our way to Durmitor NP. We only had a couple of hours to spare so we decided to walk around the lake. The surrounding forest is ancient and beautiful with some trees dating back 500 years. It is an easy one hour walk over mostly flat terrain with board walks and bridges... More

The weather was terrible, we couldn't see anything from the top and couldn't even find bendovac because of the fog... However it was a super nice experience with the family ! They welcomed us like we were part of their family. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast, everything is home made and fresh milk, cheese and yoghurt from the... More

This is a must see if you appreciate forests especially those that are in a roughly original state with trees over 300 years old in them. Something very hard to find anymore in Europe. Whether you hike to the higher peaks or just do the 4km 1 hour circuit of the lake it's an amazing place. If you're going to... More

We really liked the area, park and the lake. It is not big but it is beautiful and so calm. After some heat in Ulcinj and Podgorica this was great calming down. Visit and enjoy.

I went to Kolasin and the Biograsdka Gora after spending some days in Durmitor National park. The feeling I got was that I should have staid more time in Durmitor and skipped Biogradska Gora. Don't get me wrong, this place is nice to visit. There is a lake and a lot of green. But if you like hiking and great... More

I wanted to like this park, but it isn't easy to do so. The park and surrounding area is beautiful with deep woods and rocky peaks, but it is not easy to enjoy in more than a superficial way. There is one easy entrance to the park land the road between Kolaśin and Mojkovac. This is the entrance to Lake... More

Beautiful lake and rewarding hike to "Bendovac". As soon as you get on the trail you leave the tourists behind. The path up to Bendovac is quite easy, proof is that we even met some Jeeps (which are not enough to disturb the hikers luckily). Before reaching Bendovac (1900m) stop at on of the two cottages for some tea, home... More

Biogradska Gora is one of the last rainforests in Europe. It is located between Tara River and Lim River under Bjelasica massive. The forest was donated to Duke Nikola Petrovic in 1878, and it has been under state protection since then. Some trees are more than 400 years old and many of them are endemic. I recommend a visit during summer... More

We went there is september and it was really very cold so we decided to leave... Might be nice on a very warm day to get some refresh. The lake is not special and the forest is so dense that the light doesn't even get in.... So you get NO sun at all. I believe Durmitor is much better!! Restaurant... More
