Make sure to visit and also take the tour. The guide told us a lot about the former owner of the villa and you will see some exciting things you will not normally see at an "upperclass residence". The scenery outside is just stunning - no words can describe the beauty!

We didn't have time to do the indoor villa tour , so we only bought tickets to visit the gardens, which are amazing. Although the Villa Melzi are much more beautiful , so if you only have time to see one of them, chose Villa Melzi.

The garden is gorgeous to walk around and gives a wide view on the lake and the surrounding mountains. Keep it mind that it's easily a 15-20 minute walk up and down to get there and it's quite slippery on the loose rocks. If you're not confident, use the boat to sneak in from the back!

It's a bit of a walk from Lenno to get to the villa but it is worth the effort. Whether you are a Star Wars fan and want to see the location used for 'The Lakescene' - or you just love beautiful vertical gardens this is a worthwhile place to visit. There are tours to go inside the building which... More

The walk up to the villa is steep whichever route you choose but it's worth it for the views- really beautiful. If I can do this walk anyone can! It's not cheap but there isn't much else in this area. Take water!

Took private boat to Villa Balbianello, and tour of grounds & inside Vila. Was our 3rd visit & worth going back every time. Grounds are beautiful as is the Vila & views that are amazing- Looks right out of a movie scene, but even more beautiful in person.

No doubt this is a nice place to visit while in Lake Como. Really beautiful and very well maintained. I just didn't like how the man at the gate shouted at my 6 yearly when he was dragging his feet on the gravel. I know they want to keep it tidy and I keep my kids under control but the... More

We took the boat shuttle from Lenno (7 € return) and spend half a day at this beautiful villa on Lake Como. The place is stunning and the surrounding garden is beautiful. All is complimented by a great view across the lake. Take a guided tour through the villa!

Gorgeous part of Italy, but best to go outside the high season (Jun-Aug) because it is very crowded then. Varenna is much more laid back and far less touristy than Bellagio. At Lenno there is the best little gelateria, close by the water.

Stunning villa on the banks of Lake Como. A beuatifyl building with amazing views. A lovely walk from Lenno. Highly recommended and a location for both Star Wars (The Clone Wars) & james Bond (Casino Royale)
