Given this museum is squirreled away inside Rhodes Old Town, you might initially think it's a bit pokey. Prepare to be amazed! It seems to go on forever, there are multiple levels and some incredible spaces, both inside and out! We went quite late in the day which meant it was quieter and cooler, but the downside is that the cafe was closed.

Initially, this seems like just a courtyard, but once inside you can explore the upper levels too. The museum fee was included in the €10 multi ticket we bought at the Grand Master’s Palace. It was definitely a good purchase. We loved wandering the artefacts here and the courtyard arches offered some lovely shaded seating.

There are a lot of exhibits in this museum. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks. We bought a combined ticket as that is better value for money - even though in the end we only used it for the museum and Grand master's Palace. The exhibits themselves are very interesting and there are lots of information panels. However, we were getting a bit overloaded by the end. There was a sort of 'order of visit' to follow but it wasn't that clear and a map, guide book or audio tour would have been helpful. By the time we reached the gardens a rest would have been welcome but it was late in the day and the café closed. If you like museums and are interested in history and archeology definitely worth a visit

Get combined museum and palace ticket…. Much better value. Palace is beautifully restored but not enough historical info in English!!! We would have been just as happy walking around its courtyard entrance(free) so much fabulous historical sites and vistas in old town Rhodes we think it’s as ‘bucket list’ location.

Very deceving size wise. The museum. Had lots to see with rooms over 2 floors so well worth the price. We bought the combination ticket foe 4 sites costing €10 . But we got our 16year old half price for being a student and 1 disabled at €5 with a free carer. The ticket alone cost €6 for 1 museum or €10 for the archiology museum, Grand masters palace, church of our lady and an art musuem. There were lots of artifacts to see. Well worth the cost and bigger and better than expected

Visited the museum benefiting from the combined ticket (also including Palace and Palagia Kastrou church). Unique historical setting, very beautiful the garden area too, friendly personnel. I just wish there had been more explanations overall.

Wonderfull archaeological museum,some astonishing pieces that are actually dated B.C. Very easy to find in old Rhodes town. Many pieces have information with them,unfortunately a few do not. Some incredible statues and pottery items ,that are exceptionally well preserved and again many date B.C, More than worth a visit.

Not for kids, it's very dry and non interactive but if you're an adult interested in rhodes history and the archeological finds this was an excellent museum. It surprised us that there was more to explore than we expected and the building itself was worth looking at. Looking carefully at everything we spent 90min there . No air conditioning though so even though there's shade you'll still feel very hot and bothered on a summer's day .

If you are into ancient artifacts, this is definitely the place. At first I thought it was really small, but then on the second level, it has a ton of extra rooms. My favorite was a huge hall with lots of knights tombstones from around 12th and 13th centuries. There were signs in English that told you whose they were. Some of the other rooms got a bit monotonous - after your 10th room of ancient vases, they start to blur together. The mosaic floors were very intricate. There are lady attendants sitting in many of the rooms watching so you don't do anything wrong. Most of the rooms (except 1 I remember) you could take flash pictures. I really enjoyed the history a lot.
