A very pleasant walk around the town with lots to see and do. Bare in mind though, there are cobblestones everywhere. There is so much to see and do, from harbour to knights castle, so I have kept this brief and updated the individual sites I visited on my trip A great town with so much history to explore it... Not my first time in Rhodes town and hopefully won't be my last. Lots to see, lots to do. We found food and drink prices in the town to be considerably less than in resort.

There is no way, someone visits Rhodes and will not spend at least a day in the magical and mystical Old town of Rhodes!!! It is a medieval city, built by the Knights of Saint John and is an UNESCO World Heritage City!!! It is the only ancient city that is inhabited even until now with more than 4000 Rhodians!... More

The port opening is where the mythical Colossus of Rhodos stood, welcoming mariners to its harbor, now you have a stag and bull on its perch. Vast castle walls surrounds the old city and its ancient streets and buildings.

This really was an incredible city. Almost like Disney did it...that is a compliment, meaning it was just about perfect. We were on a cruise and it was just steps from the ship.

There are many shops that you can buy very nice souvenirs and cafes and restaurants that also can taste delicious... More

Many things I appreciated about our day in Rhodes: 1. From the cruise ship to the Old Town walls is about a 5-7 minute walk. 2. In the harbor there was a manned information desk with maps and also a stamp that you could potentially put in a passport. 3. Lots of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and a pharmacy all within... More

It's the heart of the city. History is mixed up with every day life. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels, houses, museums, but everything is so well combined with the place, its architecture and its history. Take a walk around and you will fall in love with it..
